How We Conquered Kasakh

Moves the bus for miles and miles,

Sleepy students can’t be silent,

Conversations all around,

Random music playing loud.

We made a deal with the weather,

The Sun was smiling for forever,

The snow was melting out for us,

It was the land of great contrasts.

Kasakh gorge we conquered bravely,

Climbed the rocks all wet and mossy,

No ice, no wind could hold us back

From seeing all those awesome caves.

We sat upon the river’s bank,

We ate, we talked, we sang, and danced,

Met new people, heard their thoughts,

Stood upon the edge of the world.

As we walked towards the bus

And tried to get rid of the mud,

We saw the happy Sun go down

And contemplated on what we found…
